“When the well’s dry, we know the worth of water.” – Benjamin Franklin

Water is indeed a necessity. 70% of our brain is water. 96.5 of Earth is water. About 80-100 gallons are needed per person a day. What will happen if we ran out of water? What will happen to every single living organism on earth? will we be able to survive?
Far-flung areas like Davao city, are suffering from water crisis. Citizens of Davao are complaining about their inconsistent water supply. They can’t wash their clothes, take a bath or for some people who use tap water for drinking, won’t have enough water to drink. We need to help and save our water and not just wait for officials to do something.
Davao city needs at least 300 million of water a day. But we cannot waste water because we cannot extract too much water from the ground where they are currently getting water from. The official found new surface in which we can actually get water- the Tamugan River. But despite the new found source, we still need to conserve water. Turn off faucet while brushing your teeth as this is away of wasting water. Fill a tub or pail with water before or after bath. Always use shower, this can save a lot of water than using a bath tub.
We need to act fast. We need to act now or else Davao will not be the only place in our country, world rather, suffering from water crisis. Especially now that we’re suffering from climate change. We need to save water. We need to save the Earth. Not only for the time being but for the long run. The lives of billions of living organisms are at risk. The lives of the future generation are at risk. Our existence are at risk
